Personal Progress Challenge 

2018-2019

We are excited to announce a new challenge for our stake YW. We feel it is important that every YW has the opportunity to complete their Personal Progress and receive their Medallion - we invite you to accept our Challenge to help them achieve this.  

Because each ward is unique, you will decide what your timeline and goal is. You might have YW who have received their medallion, and are working on their Honor Bee.  You might have to help all the YW in your ward receive their Medallion.  The completion date is up to you, but needs to be by Dec. 2019.  Please contact a member of the Stake YW Presidency with your goal.

If you reach your goal, you will receive a reward from the stake - the reward will be Awesome but is still to be determined. 

Here are a couple of ideas - you Do Not have to use these.  You will know what is best for your ward.

•Have various Personal Progress spotlights by a YW every Sunday in opening exercises.

•Plan one activity each month as a Personal Progress activity.  

•Use a portion of your activity or class time to update information, answer questions and give support. 

•Decide which experiences each YW will start with and/or assign a monthly Personal Progress theme, such as October is Choice and Accountability (Orange).  

•Involve your ward's Personal Progress leader.  

•Assign every YW a leader to help her reach her goals.  Contact your YW at least twice a month to see how her progress is coming and to determine what help she needs. 

Thoughts:

1. The purpose of the challenge is to have every YW in our stake earn their medallion by December of 2019.  (You can set an earlier completion date.)  If a YW has earned her medallion, she can work toward earning her Honor Bee.

2. Set your goal based on what is reasonable for your YW.  Break the goal into achievable short term goals.

3. Leaders could sit down individually with each girl at the beginning of the challenge.  Update their personal progress online and in their book. Teach the girls how to access their account and update their information online.

We have a firm testimony of the importance of personal progress and feel blessed to have the opportunity to complete the program. All of the stake YW presidency are either working toward receiving their medallion or their honor bee.  We love you and appreciate your sweet service to the youth in your ward.
